Our managing director at age 7. He came home from school one day to find a photographer taking photos. He asked Stuart to stand by the door and the rest is history. Over a million leaflets were printed and dropped with this photo. His smile is just as cheeky today at 42!

The front offices with the factory below. ‘We made our first windows walking on duck boards on the floor as there was so much water. The holes in the roof let so much rain in.’

“Before the bakery I rented a room above a bank. It had no telephone so I had to go across the road and use the call box. I would wait until I had 10 calls to make then run across the road to claim the box for an hour!”
