Production and Materials

Our sash window products are manufactured in two different processes. Aluminium window sections are cut, cropped, sealed and mechanically joined together. Upvc window profiles are cut, reinforced with steel and then fusion welded together.

Both systems utilise the most up to date technology in assembly, glazing, finishes and security. A choice of colours, locking systems and energy efficient double glazed glass units are available. The accuracy of the machinery we use enables us to build all orders to the nearest millimetre.

The robustness of our Aluminium frames makes them an ideal choice for schools, hospitals, housing association properties, military barracks, commercial premises and just about anywhere requiring low maintenance and ease of use.

Aluminium is the third most common element on the earth, made from Bauxite. It is corrosion resistant, lightweight, one third as dense as Steel or Copper and is 100% repeatedly recyclable. By incorporating a polyurethane or polyamide thermal break in our section designs, Aluminium becomes thermally efficient, reducing heat loss and saving precious energy.

Glazed with energy saving softcoat glass, with Argon gas filled units frames will achieve an overall U value of 2.2 w/m². Surfaces can be powder coated to any colour, or anodised to a number of silver through to gold finishes.

Upvc is made from 57% Chlorine (from salt) and 43% Ethylene from oil or coal. It is light weight, a poor conductor of heat and thermally efficient. It can be recycled with common uses as pipes, electrical ducting or mouldings. When glazed with different types of low emissivity glass U values below 2 w/m² are possible.
